Muriel Bruintjes
Office Manager

Muriel has been married to Colin for 40 long, easy years. She started working at the office in 1996 after she worked for RBC for 9 years. She enjoys working in the office because she values the relationships she builds with clients. She also loves the flexibility she has to take 'nana days' where she gets to spend time with her 6 wonderful grandchildren. When she's not spending time with her family, she likes to go camping, mow their acreage, ride her bike and play the piano.  

Val Simmonds
Bookkeeper

Val has over 40 years’ experience as a bookkeeper and payroll administrator. She has been with the CTB team for over 17 years and clients trust her with their lives! She has taken multiple courses in accounting and payroll and graduated from Northern Lights College in Dawson Creek with certificates in clerical and office administration. Val especially enjoys the consulting aspect of her job where she ensures accurate information is reported. She loves spending time with her grandchildren and enjoys reading, puzzles, and knitting.

Meghan Hidber, BBA, CPB
Accounting Technician

Meghan has been with the CTB team for 10 awesome years! She was born and raised in Smithers and appreciates how fortunate she is to work for a professional local entrepreneur in the town where she grew up. In 2014, Meghan graduated from Okanagan College with a Bachelor of Business Administration specializing in accounting with a concentration in communications. She is certified in QuickBooks Online and has a Certified Professional Bookkeeper designation from CPB Canada. In her spare time, Meghan enjoys reading, travelling, and time spent with family and friends.

Lindsey Steeves
Bookkeeper

Lindsey rejoined our team in July 2023. She worked as a payroll and benefits administrator at Central Mountain Air for close to 9 years, and previous to that, worked for CTB in her current role. She has been working in the bookkeeping/payroll field for 12 years. She has taken accounting and bookkeeping courses to achieve a Bookkeeping certificate from Confederation College. Outside of the office, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her kids.

Linda Potter
Administrative Assistant

Linda joined the CTB team in November 2014. Previously, she worked for the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church as the Office Administrator for 18 years. She likes meeting new people and building relationships with clients. She also enjoys spending time at their cabin with her husband of 38 years, doing renovations and endless outdoor activities. Linda has two grown, married children, and one adorable granddaughter, who are her pride and joy.
